With WearOS 6 (July 2025), Facer introduced a new architecture supporting Google's Watch Face Format – way more performant especially on battery life. Hundreds of thousands of faces ready at launch. Designers are developing variants of popular faces that didn't automatically convert – new faces released daily!

Watches that shipped with WearOS 5 & haven't received WearOS 6 yet – our app shows a selection of faces available to download on Google Play. We expect these watches to update to WearOS 6 soon (newer Pixel & Samsung Galaxy watches already updated).

Watches that launched with WearOS 3 or 4, even if updated to WearOS 5 – our legacy Facer app continues to work with our massive catalog. HOWEVER, Google is removing our legacy watch app from the Play Store January 14th, 2026.
- New downloads of our legacy watch app & new purchases will not be possible after that date on these older watches.
- If you already have our watch app installed, subscriptions & purchased faces will keep working; however, you will not be able to renew your subscription or purchase new faces unless your watch updates to Wear OS 6.
